OUR STORY

The idea of opening a new Christian Academy was placed, by God, on the hearts of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Members.

After several months of thoughtful prayer, reoccurring meetings, and research, the idea that created a vision has now prospered into reality.

Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy opened its doors to accept students for its first class in the school year 2023 - 2024.

Now we are preparing for the second year of operation with expansion to include two grade levels for the 2024-2025 school year.

P.R.C.A. affirms God's sovereignty and Christ's Kingship. Everything we do is intended to honor God and advance His Kingdom.

Students at P.R.C.A. will be taught the vision of God's Kingdom and their special place in it. We will endeavor to build individual relationships with each student in order to learn their unique, God given gifts and talents. We will treat each student as a whole person whose aim is to grow in Christ-likeness.

Each student will be challenged and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We wish to partner with parents and local churches to raise up a generation of godly, well-equipped, critical thinkers who will make the world a better place.

We will assist parents in their God-given mandate.

"Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

Likewise, we will assist students in their God-given mandate.

"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."

Mission

We believe that the purpose of the Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy ministry is to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by serving as His instrument in declaring and spreading His truth.

We believe that the subject of Christian education is biblical truth applied to every area of life.

We believe that the goal of Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy is to provide the best Christian Education by assisting parents in training their children to live to God’s Glory by developing a biblical worldview, Christian character, and the skills necessary to fulfill His calling in their lives.

We believe that we must employ called, gifted, and Godly faculty and staff who strongly believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and share a passion for excellence in Christian Education.

We believe that children must develop as a whole person in order to be equipped with the knowledge, character, and skills needed to become competent servants of Christ. To accomplish this we will emphasize academic excellence, spiritual maturity, leadership development, physical fitness, and high standards of Christian character.

We believe that the education of children is the responsibility of parents, rather than the state. We further believe that Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy is an instrument of God designed to help parents faithfully discharge their responsibility.

Purpose

Our purpose is to partner with the local churches and families to nurture and lead students with a two-fold purpose of:

Presenting a biblical world view and knowledge of God's Word, the Bible.

Providing a challenging and stimulating curriculum.
