Middle School Teacher
6th-8th Grade
Compensation: Capable of teaching subject areas for the 6th-8th Grade in either. Full-time, 10-month position, starting July 31, 2025, through May 2026. The starting salary range for certified teachers is $45,000 to $57,000. Pay is adjusted based on experience and degrees. Tuition discount for all students enrolled at P.R.C.A.

Job Description: The teacher will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matters that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Teach all subjects assigned in the designated grade, adhering to the course instruction as prescribed in the Curriculum Guide. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities. Keep proper discipline in the classroom and on the school premises. Follow prescribed school policy for discipline procedures. Employ a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.

Required Personal Qualities: Must be member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy. Must be in whole-hearted agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Philosophy of Christian Education. Must demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.

Job Requirements: Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the related field, have Bachelor’s degree with 18-semester credit hours in specialty, or have three years or more teaching experience. Must agree and apply the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement, according to P.R.C.A. requirements. Must demonstrate proficiency in the computer programs used in the classroom. Needs working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Database software. Must have ability to use technology in lesson plans such as, projectors, iPads, and online videos.
Director of Admissions & Student Services
Part Time
Compensation: Shall be capable of executing a part-time, flexible schedule, 12-month position, starting July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. The starting salary range for the Admissions Director/ Student Services is $35,000. Tuition discount for all students enrolled at P.R.C.A.

Job Description: The Admissions/Student Services Director shall prayerfully help inform parents concerning the mission of P.R.C.A. and assist them through the enrollment process. The Director of Admissions and Student Services shall inform parents of the programs available to them at P.R.C.A. which will contribute to the development of the student to become a mature, able, and responsible Christian
man or woman to the praise and glory of God. The Director of Admissions and Student Services shall be responsible for the admission tasks and responsibilities at P.R.C.A. and assist students in their academic careers at P.R.C.A. The Director of Admissions and Student Services must integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the school year and all activities. Assist in maintaining proper discipline on the school premises.

Bus Driver
Part Time
Compensation: 10-month position based on the P.R.C.A. school year; $15-$20 per hour; Hours: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (based on route).

Job Description: Responsible to ensure the assigned bus is mechanically sound to drive route; pick-up/drop off assigned students safely and in compliance with all DOT rules and regulations and safety guidelines. Ensure accountability of all assigned students; ensure order and discipline is maintained on bus.

Job Requirements: Current Commercial Drivers’ License Class B (C.D.L.) (with air brakes) or willing to get trained and take test to obtain C.D.L., with a passenger endorsement. (Training would be accomplished as soon as possible.) Medical physical required to obtain C.D.L. license.

All instructional personnel, educational support employees, and school administrators have an obligation to report misconduct by instructional personnel, educational support employees, and school administrators which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student. Examples of misconduct include obscene language, drug and alcohol use, disparaging comments, prejudice or bigotry, sexual innuendo, cheating or testing violations, physical aggression, and accepting or offering favors. Reports of misconduct of employees should be made to the Director, Shalyn Tison. Reports of misconduct committed by administrators should be made to the Director, Shalyn Tison. Legally sufficient allegations of misconduct by Florida-certified educators will be reported to the Office of Professional Practices Services. Policies and procedures for reporting misconduct by instructional personnel or school administrators which affect the health, safety, or welfare of a student are posted in the office of Pleasant Ridge Christian Academy.
